To adequately define virtual item groups and virtual items in AssetWise, additional attributes and lookup table values must be defined beforehand. The following tasks are recommended:

• Define specific virtual item group classes (of one of the types defined above) for the structures to be modeled with related user-defined attributes, if required.
• Optionally define a classification structure with related user-defined attributes for the virtual items themselves (virtual item characteristics).

If a system generated virtual item group and virtual item number is required, an appropriate numbering mask must be defined in the System Defaults.
